Section 01

Who we are and how to contact us

This website is operated by CJS Electrical (Wales) Ltd, trading as CJS Electrical. We are an electrical contractor working across Wales and the South West of England.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Section 02

The site is information, not an offer

Everything on this website is published for general information about what we do. Nothing on it is a binding offer to carry out work, and nothing on it forms a contract on its own.

The same goes for a quotation. A price we give you — verbally, by email, or in a written quotation — becomes binding only when we have confirmed it in writing and the work is instructed on that basis. Until then it is an indication.

Sending us an enquiry does not oblige us to take the work on, and does not oblige you to instruct us.

Section 03

Pricing and availability

Prices, lead times, service coverage and product availability can change. Material costs in particular move, and a price given some time ago may no longer stand.

Where a written quotation states a validity period, that period applies. Where it does not, please treat the price as current only at the date it was given, and ask us to confirm it.

Section 04

Accuracy of what we publish

We take care to keep this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or omissions, or that it is complete at any given moment.

Statements about our accreditations, memberships and manufacturer relationships are made in good faith and reflect our position when the page was published. Accreditations are renewed, audited and occasionally changed. If a particular accreditation, registration or approval matters to your decision, ask us and we will confirm its current status in writing.

Nothing on this site is technical, legal or regulatory advice for your specific installation. Advice on your property comes from a site visit and a written report or quotation.

Section 05

Intellectual property

We own or are licensed to use everything on this website — the text, layout, design, graphics, photography and code. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

The CJS Electrical name, logo and marks are ours. You may not use them without our written permission.

You may view the site, and print or download extracts for your own reference or to share within your organisation. You may not use any part of it commercially, republish it, or present it as your own, and you must not remove any notice of ownership.

Third-party logos and marks shown on the site — accreditation bodies, schemes, manufacturers and clients — are the property of their respective owners. They appear with permission, or as a factual indication of an accreditation we hold or a supply relationship we have. Their appearance does not imply that those organisations endorse this website.

Section 06

Acceptable use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

• Use it in a way that breaks any applicable law or regulation.
• Send us anything containing a virus or other harmful code, including through the enquiry form’s file upload.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it runs on, or any connected system.
• Attack the site, including by denial-of-service.
• Collect data from the site by automated means, including scraping, without our written permission.
• Submit false, misleading or abusive content through any form, or use our contact details to send unsolicited marketing.

We may withdraw access to the site if you breach these terms, and we will report a criminal offence to the relevant authority.

Links to other websites

Where this site links to another organisation’s website, that link is provided for information only. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

You may link to our homepage, provided you do so fairly and in a way that does not suggest an association or endorsement we have not given. We may ask you to remove a link.

Section 08

Work we carry out for you

These website terms do not govern any work we do. Electrical work is carried out under a separate written quotation or contract, which sets out the scope, the price, the payment terms, the standards the work is carried out to, and the warranty or guarantee that applies.

If anything in these website terms appears to conflict with that written quotation or contract, the quotation or contract wins for the work itself.

Section 09

Our liability for this website

This section is about your use of the website. It is not about the work we carry out, which is covered by the contract for that work.

We provide this website free of charge and as it is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, or that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, from your inability to use it, or from your reliance on anything published on it. That includes loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, and loss of data.

We are not liable for viruses or other harmful material that may infect your device through your use of the site. You should use your own virus protection.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
• Anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including your rights as a consumer.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and goods must be as described and of satisfactory quality. Those rights stand whatever this page says.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this website, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Please check it occasionally — continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
